    Default New OTcrappie.com site....

Ed has seen fit to make a new site for those of us who like to discuss politics and other stuff that some folks dont like to see. There's been a good bit of hub bub the last week about whether the ot forum should remain in place or not and quite frankly I think that those who think ot posters have no place on crappie.com are a little bit self righteous. You might consider that some of us have posted some 2000 times or more about fishing and posting fishing reports and you know what?......It gets old even to die hard fishermen. How many time can you post "which lights work best for night stalking?" or "which jig do you prefer?" All of these questions have been hashed over and over again and all those questions can be answered by using the search feature and going through the archives. These folks are just trying to get some converstaion going about nothing and theres nothing wrong with that.....But dont come at these folks as if they have no place on a fishing board jusr because theyv'e grown tired of the same old posts. I value the opinions of fishermen because thats who I hang out with and thats who I grew up around. I want to hear their opinions about the things going on the world today and it isn't always about actual fishing.

With all that said, I commend Ed for trying to provide us a place to speak freely without having to worry about people with nothing to do shooting down every topic as against the rules and constantly saying "I told you so...If you had all listened to me we wouldn't have this problem..." No names neccessary :D I will be spending time on this new site and hope maybe some of you will too if you feel the itch to argue. Later.....E

... or my personal favorite, "What's a good line for crappie?" There's only about a hundred of those threads in the archives. :D

E, I'm happy to see that you, too, are a fan of the "search" function. I had another member tell me once that he didn't know there was a search function. These endless "what's a good rod", "what's a good line", etc. threads makes me think he is not alone.

I know that's not your main point, but still a good post.

I missed you guys too. I know my leaving seemed kind of prima donna but I promise you it was not meant as such. I was being told in no uncertain terms that my posts were not welcome here and I didn't want to rock the boat. While the idea of posting under different names wasn't the best in my opinion, that board does serve as a place for us to talk about those things that pappy dont like or want around his site. It (the other site) will take a little getting used to but for the most part it works okay and more importantly it is moderated by our own backtocrappie who I'm sure has our best interest at heart. He has vowed to execute only those posts which need zapping and I think that's exactly what we can expect. See you all over there for some good fun.

Come on now we can't be asking him to give up a common characteristic of liberals using deception and subterfuge to keep the true meaning and results of their ideas from being discussed in a open and rational manner. :D
