    Default chumming for crappie?????


    I was reading some articals on chumming for crappie this morning.. and some guys were using cream of wheat and they say it was helping them catch fish..
    Anyone ever heard of this?

    Chumming works for all fish. Cream of wheat will draw in small bait fish which would then draw in crappie, bass, etc.

    I did not know about the cream of wheat. I will have to try that. Did your tube in a mixture of cod liver oil and anise. That works well too.

    I read in this months field and stream... A guy takes a brown paper bag and puts a cup of dry rice in it as well as a pecan sized rock. put string around the top and drop it down in the brush, wait a few minutes and yank it up and all the rice will float to the surface really slow. it looks like hatching larvae and it turns finicky crappie on.. food for thought

    I'd check to see if it's legal in your state to chum!!! Wouldn't be worth losing your stuff over.
