SBF did catch a nice one and as it turned out would be the fish for the day.
It was also a very tough day until late in the afternoon where we started to pick off several eaters.
3 days and 36 hours later I'm bushed. Took today off just to recoup.
It was tough with the overcast we had on the 1st 2 days. The last day was better with the sun out.
On the 1st day Mallard and I went out and only caught 4 crappies.
We moved several times , but it was not in the cards to get a good bite with the clouds.
BSL slabs like the sun.
Here's Mallard with the big one of the day.
All in all it was a lot of work for little reward.
BB and Adam a.k.a. Scooby showed up just as we got back.
We tried to make a run for a little lake to drill some gills ,but no luck there either as the non improved road was gated off.
Then on to Waukenabo ...only there was no getting on the lake after I tried twice only to get really wet.
So back to the shack for some dry clothes and dinner.
Moving on to Sat.
BB,Scooby,Mallard and myself met up with TIH and SBF at the lake.
Appearently the dam is blocked off and the lake has come up several inches. This busted up the shorline. Well BB' quad got stuck and we decided to just walk out.
Getting to the spot we met up with Thrilla and Greg from Duluth.
Moosehead joined us late in the day.
TIH & I bored a bunch of hole and we commenced to fishing.
Chopperman & Ron also arrived about that time.
We all fished hard & since there was a buck for the biggest slab on the line I was all about
finding the mule of the day.
I had not fished for too long & bingo I had the 1st fish only it was not the slab I had hoped for.
SBF did catch a nice one and as it turned out would be the fish for the day.
It was also a very tough day until late in the afternoon where we started to pick off several eaters.
There was maybe 80 fish caught for the day.We went home with 30 between BB,Scooby,Mallard and myself which Mallard and I cleaned for dinner.
a few parting shots.
On to Sun.....what a great day.We had Mallard,BB,Scooby,Moosehead,Thrilla,Greg and friend
The sun came out and we had hopes of a better bite.
It was better for most of us.
We started out with the cookie cutter 10 inchers.Scooby and BB were hot to start.
So a bit before noon i set the benchmark for the slab of the day with a 11&3/4"
Good pics Keith. Always enjoy your pics.

Then Scooby tags a 12" to top me.
Not to long afterwards BB tags a 12&1/4" to top him.
BB had the fish for most of the day then Greg topped him with a 12&5/8th slab which ultimately took the cash for the day.
Moosehead lost a real nice one that could have been a contender.
Everyone had left except for Scooby& BB.We stayed to try to get 1 last fish or two ,but the bite died. The 3 of us caught well over 40 crappies and 1 really nice gill.
Here's 1 more pic and a video.
That was fantastic
