    Default Brake rotor anchor

Have you seen the prices for anchors lately? What do you use for an anchor? I had a fellow tell me a long time ago that he uses old brake rotors.I tried one and man do they do a great job. Also you can get them at a brake place for nothing usually. I currently dont have one but I rarely fish with an anchor down. They do work pretty well if you get a nice heavy one. It will lay flat on the bottom of the lake and when you ready to go lifts up easily too.Just thought somebody might be as broke as me and use my idea.

I used to make all my anchors but when I buy a boat and use a little when I get ready to sell it I keep the anchors.Brake rotor work good.Especially when you weld abunch of junk on them.

Sounds like a good idea. If I ever lose mine, I'll keep that in mind.

    Default Anchor

I had one in the garage that a friend of mine bought me 4 years ago for Christmas. That thing weighs in at 25 pounds! I think it will hold the boat steady. If this one goes then the brake thing will be the next bet. Good idea!
