Default Crappie Tube versas Live Minnows?

Crappie Tubes is for people who know how to fish. Live minnows is for people who are still learning. Thats my Opinion. Different presentations with 1/and1/2 inch tubes. Last year every month of the year I caught crappie. It didn't make any difference what the Barommeter reading was we caught crappie. I fish strickly Tubes in a variety of colors. Caught crappie from 4ft. to seventy feet. Catching crappie 14ft. in 38ft of water yesterday. There was a few caught at 4ft. most caught at 14ft.

You may be right, last Saturday minnows were the deal, not 1 hit on a jig. Wednesday 3 on minnows 21 on jigs, just hafta let the fish decide sometimes....just my.02 cents.

hi ken i prefer jigs myself, but some of the best guys in the tournaments, beat me like a drum with minnows, i don't think most of them are just learning.

Most days, jigs will produce better than minnows by far. But, there are days where the fish want nothing but a minnow. I'm not prejudiced... I let the fish tell me what they want, and I'm happy to oblige. Crappie taste the same whether caught on a jig or minnow... I use both!

Yeah well, I've actually talked crappie into giving up. No hook, no rod, no water, heck, not even a lake one time back in the late 90's. Just talked a fine mess of crappie right out of a dry lake bed. It was either that or don't fish at all. I just did what I had to do.
