Default Maiden voyage for my new(old) motor- Bates Co. Drainage Ditch 3-20-09

Just put a different motor/power tilt/trim on my boat. IT WORKED GREAT!! Took the kids and wife, put the boat in at Old Town and went upriver, fished a couple of riffles/eddies before they got tired. Plenty of water moving, caught several crappie, all on the small side, and hitting so lite I was the only one to catch any.

There was a kid on the river bank that had 2 big spoonbills well over 60# he had snagged from the bank. I was taking out about an hour before dark, and the boat ramp was getting busy. Dont know if they were going snagging or after the walley/white bass.
