Try BP in Macon. Go to the back corner toward the distribution area. They had some reconditioned WMs for $25. I could find nothing wrong with them. I found all sizes.

BPS has the Wally Marshall Signature Series universal rods on sale for $34.94. I just ordered two 12 footers for myself. I think that might be one of those internet/catalog only sales, you might not be able to get them for that price in the store???

I just bought two more 14 footers from BPS (WM) for the online sale price of $34.94. You do need to bring in a print out of the online price, the manager that had to approve the price reduction was a bit snippy when I asked for the page that had the sale price on it back (it had my non-BPS shopping list written on it!). I asked her what would have happened if I did not have a print out and she said "they MIGHT" have time in the back to look it up. Sheesh! I am sitting there with several hundred dollars worth of gear in my buggy and she is TRYING to lose my business. Similiar thing happened at another BPS when I tried to return a rod that had snapped the first time using it (I had bought it the previous year). I had over $700.00 in my buggy and went back and forth with the manager over their responsibilty for replacing it. He was saying no because it was last years model and I insisted that since I had just unwrapped it a few day before, had broken it on the first fish it had caught (a 1 lbs crappie in open water), and they still carried the same model THEY were on the hook to replace it. It literally took me turning around and starting to walk out the door for him to give in. If anyone ever tries to do something simliar to you folks I would reccomend the same tactic- make sure they know just how much money you will NOT be spending in their store that very same day and tell them that you will let all your friends and family know not to shop there and that you will go online and tell the world not to shop there.

    P.S. to my previous post:

It is a simple concept- take care of people and the sales will take care of themselves. To bad people are just focused on the money.

I had the same type problem a JDAVID. Complained to headquarters in Mizzou. Manager called me and emailed to pick up the rod at my convenience.
