Lots of good ones to pick from. Would like to recommend a domestic built but I'm not sure any more who is and who isn't. I have had very good luck with Okumas and I don't buy the expensive versions just a lower end model usually not more than $30-40. Saw the Hardstone model on sale in cabelas catalog few weeks ago.

I use Shimano Sahara $80 and Sedona $60. I love them very smooth and if they get wet no problem unlike the Pfluegger I had

ABU Garcia Cardinal series. I have a pair of 700u reels and love 'em. I think they cost me $50 to $60.

I use the Quantum Energy PTI on some rods. They are expensive but worth the money. I have bought a few of the Quantum Optix of late for right around $20 and they seem to be a nice little reel.
