    Default Bad Day!!!

Truman was hard on me. This stick was only 3" in diameter and I was going 2.5 mph.

    OSS,

I do have, not sure how good it is but I'll check and see. Will the piece being gone like that mess my boat up?

    Monty,

I was just on the phone with Brad and told him if anybody could fix him up or guide him in the right direction it would probably be you. And there you went already chiming in. If somebody on here just knew of a good welder/fitter? Got any suggestions? :D
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

    Brad,

That makes me cringe and it looks bad, do you have the broken piece or is it at the bottom of the lake? Sorry for your bad luck.

    Default Easy To Repair

Yours Would Be Easy To Repair, Just Have To Drain All The Lower Unit Oil Out, Then Weld New Piece In Slowly So As Not To Overheat The Bearings.... I Used To Stock Touch Up Paint To Match Every Motor Color Out There... I Am Sorry I Do Not Do This Anymore I Am Retired, But Your Insurance Should Cover It.... Most Places Will Want You To Remove And Strip Lower Unit, Why Wouldn't They Makes There Job Real Easy And Then They Will Hit You With $100 To $150 Repair Bill...... Not Count Tearing It Down Cost...... I Don't Even Know Who To Recommend....... Sorry......

The broken piece is at the bottom of the lake, tough luck. It's becuase of stuff like this a person pays the high price of insurance, they will either fix it or I'll keep fishing out of it the way it is. It's kind of like a scar - my boat now has character. As well as the fishing has been I hate to see my boat is the shop any time soon!

I know what I will do - Keep on FISHING!!!!!!!!!
