I just use brush piles that I already know about.
So I was reading up on Crappie Condos, and I was wondering if any of you fellas have ever put some in place.
If so, what kind did you make - xmas trees, pvc on rebar, etc?
I'd be interested in putting in a few at some of the local lakes that aren't so well-known.

I don't think it's legal here in Wa but the truth is if we don't place them, the state never will because this is a trout state lol. We've used Xmas trees but they only produce fish for a year or two at best here. The best thing I've found is tree tops. In the spring we gather the left over harwood tree trimmings/tops from the neighboors. I'll bound them together with hemp rope and drop them on points and on the edge of flats. Only takes about four days for the fish to find them :D.
