Crappie near LA?

I'm originally from Central Washington, but I go to school in Claremont near Los Angeles. I was wondering what's available as far as good crappie water within driving distance (an hour?). I would love to do some fishing while I'm there...instead of being bored all the time like the last couple of years.

lake isabella well worth the drive ask where kissic cove is & fish next to the tree
or ask where rabbit island is & fish near the trees we limit out every time we go

Lake Piru Has crappie they are to the left or north as you leave the launch ramp and they are just befoe you get to the new ramp.
