Hey cook where do you find these reports.
..for Jake to start posting the walleye shocking reports for smithville.
Even though I'm 1400 miles away right now,I'd love to be able to read about it.Did some looking around the other day,and found a report a few years ago on another site.He said something to the effect that 95% of the walleye there don't reproduce,so don't feel guilty about keeping "ANY" legal walleye,be it a large one, small, male or female....Haven't heard that before.
Also 'bout time for spoonbill, then the white bass run, followed by the shad run, then crappie spawn...good times ahead for ya'll.

Hey Cook, Jake here. I am planning on hitting the dam starting two weeks from tonight. I gotta get my new boat rigged over the next two weeks so it may be the maiden voyage! My old boat served me well for 10 years, but it began leaking too much to be sea-worthy. I'll post my results at conservationcafe.com again this year. I'll also let guys know when I start seeing crappie come to the banks. It's usually around the third week of April that things get rolling good. In between the walleye and the crappie the white bass head up the river. Can't wait for spring! I'm sick of the cold, too bad I still have to squeeze in three days netting sturgeon on the River in the next two weeks.
Later.
Jake
