Default GRIZZ flies south for the winter

GRIZZ flies south for the winter - FINALLY. Came 1,200 miles to visit Lake Greeson, AR. Makes a pretty darn good deck hand too. Went fishing with me and my clients this morning. We had a blast snatching up crappie 3-foot deep in 9-foot for water. Water is warming up really fast. Saw some 60-degree water late this afternoon.

2 days ago I just had enough of the vile winter we are having in NY and jumped in my car and drove 1200 miles to go see Darryl and Jerry. Let me tell you. It was 80 degrees today, the crappies were biting, I got a little sunburn, but not too much, and I'm sitting here on a deck at the marina, on the edge of the water, using their WiFi in my shorts and sandals at 9 pm. I'll just say I fell a lot better and more like a human being again instead of a hibernating bear. Can't wait for tomorrows action. Here are some pics.

Splash - the kitten we rescued from the lake today. Now the official mascot of Family Fishing Trips.

I'm sitting at the middle table right now making this post.

What I'm sitting here looking at right now. Except now its dark.

Good things come to those who bait.

Well, tomorrow's supposed to be another windy day, but I'm a goin' anyway. I'm tired of not being out there.

I may bet blown up on the bank, but I'm goin' regardless.

60 degree water, eh? Well! I'll have to find me some o' that stuff on Ouachita. :D

I am glad you could come down and wished I could have met you. You did good when you hooked up with Jerry and Darryl. I am a transplant to Arkansas myself and love it here. I don't tell too many people that I am really a Texan because I am afraid I would have to whip their butt. But, nobody here has made an issue out of it. From your post, I always thought you were hatched in the wrong place and belong a little further south.
