This year's 5-day FLW Championship Bass Tournament is here on Lake Hamilton this week and the pros are struggling to catch keepers.
We've been trolling Bandit 300s in a creek arm where a lot of them have been fishing and this morning this 12-year-old girl from Spring, TX reeled in this Largemouth Bass from a hump that several of the pros have been hammering.
It was 20-inches long with a girth of 15-inches and weighed nearly 4-pounds. We released it to be caught again.
I took the picture down to the paper to see if they would post it along with all the coverage they have on the tournament.

Catch 'em, hit 'em in the head with a boat paddle, throw 'em back. If we all would do that, the bass population would dwindle. Then we would have more crappie and less bass boats.
Just kidding :D :D :D
fish almost as big as her

Men, that's a $500,000 dollar fish (the first place prize money). As Jerry said, the pros here this week have been having trouble and weighing in nothing but small fish. I'm sure any one of them would loved to have that fish.

Got word today that the story made the evening news on Channel 7 (ABC Affilliate out of Little Rock). I emailed them the picture and a short note but had not heard back so I was surprised to hear they ran it.
I still think it's funny.
