Went yesterday and caught 6, 2 real nice fish, the rest just keepers. No shallow fish yet. We caught these fish 25 ft deep over river channel drops, and had to really work to catch them. The water temps are still in low 80s. They aint quite ready yet, but it wont be long. NO FOLLOWERS, we shoot trespassers around here, especially the ones in blue and white boats LOL.

Thanks for the report. I've got to get back to working on the skow. I think Blackie & I are bringing Bill C. down next month and Blackie won't let Bill in his boat. You & Jackie are in for a treat.

Don G. I have a 51/2 ' B&M sharp shooter rod design for shooting docks. I had it at the spring fling but didn't know how to use it and I still don't even though Gerald (S.C.) tried to show me. It came with line on it that I know I don't like, so I am going to put new line on it and learn how to use before the fall brawl. What kind of line and what lb do you recommend. Also give us a up to date fishing report on the bar. Might be able to finally get a day in Friday. Thanks, Conner

    Default Shooting Line

    Hey Conner,
I use 6lb Golden Stren, it lets you see those subtle strikes, has less memory than any line I've tried. Good luck on learning to shoot the docks, it is a barrel of fun. See you at the brawl
