    Default Floats for jig fishing

I recently watched a video that showed fishing a jig under a float. It looked like a small bright colored float and I think that they used a toothpick to adjust the depth of the jig. Does anyone know the brand name of these floats and where they can be purchased? Thanks!

I hope that you find the corks that you're lookin' for. If not, check out my article titled "Catching Pre-Spawn Slabs" on the article contest. I've included some good close-up pics of the cork and rig that we like to use. We're doing real good on it right now in a large local pond.

You can get the slip bobbers and use a bobber stop. I tie fly line on my string to stop the bobber and it is easily adjusted for different depths.

You may be referring to the small Styrofoam floats that fly fishermen call strike indicators. About 1/2 inch round by 3/4 inch long. Any place that sells fly fishing supplies should have them.

There's all kinds-round, pear-shaped, etc. Thill makes some that BPS carries in the fly fishing area, Cabela's has some as well. Also, ice fishermen use them quite a bit. Here's a couple BPS, but they'll be cheaper if you can find them locally:

Hey,I think I am gonna try the spring floats in the pear shape..
Sometimes I like a fixed float and sometimes I like a slip float.
