    Default twin jigs

Has anyone used two jigs on the same rod very often?I started trolling them a couple of yrs ago on dale hollow, and it seemed to work when you got into an area that showed some activity.I like two 1/16 oz jobs either tubes or twisters, but not mixed. There is a draw back at times you will hang two fish at once, that are not crappies. Got two small mouths at once twice last yr, thank goodness they were slot fish.

When I cast (swim a jig) at scattered cover in open water or fishing a long dropoff I usually put two jigs on. It casts better and if you get a 2 for 1 a few times, the livewell fills up fast.

At times I use two jigs (1/16 + 1/16 or 1/8 + 1/16) on the same line to get a little deeper or to make it look like a school of bait. I have also used a jig above a crankbait. It looks like big bait chasing little bait and the jig has a lot of action from the crankbait. I usually use these methods while trolling and things are slow.

Most of the time I use 2 poles, 4 jigs per pole...
