Default Slow out this afternoon, but a few nices ones

I was sitting here tying about 2:00 and said BS I am going don't care how hard the darn wind is blowing and it was. Boat control was pretty much out of the question and they were slow. Was back at the house before 5:00 and had them cleaned. Big one was 14 3/4" and almost 2 pounds and the other 2 were just over 12" and were each over 1 pound. Got over 1 pound of fillets.

Wind warning on the lake advisory all day.

Only had 3 bites from crappie and one little dink bass. Trolling my 1/32 oz RR's.

Oh yeah this is right next to my cleaning station.

Nice pic Skip! I know what you mean about the wind...sometimes you just have to be careful and go for it. We've had our share of it up here in AR.too. It's been so bad up here that we've fished off the bank a few times just to wet a hook.

Nice pic! Looks like you live plenty close when you want to go. I gotta drive 45min -1 hr to get to a big body of water.

    Thanks everyone.
Yes it's nice living on the water for sure. Behind me is more if a ditch that looks like a small creek. I have my boat hanging to the right more into it and is only about 40' that direction. Shame on me but there is a nice boat house to the left that I had built. Has a pull in and out get your boat in the water type system. Most use pipe, but I used channel (not telling that story it's too long). Anyway I didn't get it steep enough after two tries, not a happy thing to talk about as this was not a cheap boat house.

The house it hangs in was here when I bought the place and I used it at times like for lunch and back out. When I got my Lund I put a winch system to raise and lower the boat so it just hangs there.

I clean the fish and the turtles can eat it as fast as I clean it almost.

Oh yeah the house is behind my wife who took the photo.

Anyway this part of the lake is a really big finger off the main lake which is 5 miles away and this finger this far away is still about 1 mile wide.

    Love it here for sure,

    Thanks!

We sure could use the rain here. I have been so busy tying that I just have to rip out a little time like today and that is the first time out since the 15th. Not only am I busy, but then wind has been relentless and I am thinking that it has never been quite this bad this time of year. Lot of days with wind warnings on the lake advisory so far and it just make me get a bit miffed.
