    Default Recoil rigs

Talked to these folks at the boat show today. This rig looks like it oughta work.

Of course they were trying to sell me some, but I talked them out of some samples.... Old folks can get sympathy at times....:p

Go to this link and check out the video.

You could save some money on the drop shot rig by tieying a rubberband to the tag end of your line and then attatch the rubberband to a bell sinker.

True. This is basically what you are saying , but the stretch is made of coiled braid and probably would not stretch near as much or likely break like rubber band.

I played with the rig in a tank of water. I know it will work. I am always fascinated with gadgets.

    Just sharing info.

Boy if that won't make a fish bite, seems like nothing would. Only problem I see is, I'd just about bet I could lose a bunch of them things while fishin em.

    I hear ya.

I asked the feller if I could buy just the line. I told the young feller I could tie knots and didn't need clips. He gave no answer. He just looked at me funny.

... is that the fish would have to be on or close to the bottom, before this "drop shot" setup would be effective (as is the case for most any dropshot style riggings)

FDC has a point, too. The "original" design (Boomerang rig) was pretty much just that (a rubber band thingy) This setup looks like the "new and improved" version :p
