Trailering pontoon?
Some of you have probably heard me already, talkin about wanting
another rig - Was pretty set on either a walleye type boat or a
center console bay boat, but lately I've been thinking about a pontoon -
maybe buy an older one and trash all the furniture - just have a center
console and a few pedestal bases. My question is, I tow a good bit,
at least 30 miles each way, sometimes 100+ each way. I know I won't
have any trouble towing as such, with the dually beast, but I'm wondering
how well those little wheels hold up under highway duty, 65+ mph?
Any advice, personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and how good do pontoons handle big water, rough waves?
I've seen some guys go out at Sardis when I was afraid to in my 1852
SeaArk, but would like some first-hand info. Thanks,
