    Angry Boat water noise

My 1654 Team Weldbilt Tunnel Hull is extremly noisy when fishing into the wind even with a slight ripple. The water slapping against the bow of the boat is as noisy as a drum.
Any suggestions on how to eliminate this noise other than not putting the boat in the water.
I attempted to contact Team Weldbilt but was not successful.

I would look at my weight distribution to make sure you have enough weight in the front of the boat.

Other than that, I'm afraid it could be a design issue. Is there not a forum for Weldbilt boats? I'd talk to others that have the hull you have, even if I had to hang out at the dealership.

Spray in floatation foam might dampen it some if you can get access and it's not already there.

My SeaArk was terrible about that - shoot, I thought that just came with
a aluminum mod-V. I like the idea of foam tho.

My polar craft gets a lot of wave slap. I use a drift sock when it's really choppy. Lots easier on the TM batteries as well.

My boat is a Triton 1860 Flat bottom and I feel your pain. I fish relatively shallow most of the time and try to quarter into the wind. It ain't perfect but it's much better than straight in to the wind.

    Sprayliner.

My Triton has it and it's as quiet as a glass boat in the water.

could you put carpet in there ?
it's not really a stiffing issue more a sound thing so i would lean twards dampaning you are going to get the slap but it's the hollow sound you want to get rid of . so anything that will soak up noise .

Try using these...Ultra LimbSaver - Ultra Solid Limb They are called "limbsaver". They are made to reduce noise on archery equipment. They just stick on. Put them about midway of the bow, where the water actually hits. Works for my jon boat.
