Welcome from Louisville. If you scroll down the main forum to the Kentucky board you'll find a lot of great info on Ky lake. There's even one fellow with a real nice place on there for rent $100 a day or $450 for a week. Hope this helps.
I am thinking about going to Kentucky Lake the first full week in April. I have been doing some homework and it seems like a good choice. Could use some help however, knowing where to fish and where to stay. OK lets face it any information would be a great help.
Thanks in advance.

Read thru ALL of this, good info ... even if it is a few years old :
Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources - Kentucky Lake - Crappie Movement Study
Also ... there's KY Lake (KY) and KY Lake (Tenn) .... same lake, just runs thru two states. :p Daily Creel limit on Crappie in the KY portion = 20/person/day .... in the Tenn portion = 30/person/day. Ky has just recently redefined what a "Possession limit" is, in KY waters ... 1 angler x daily limit x number of consecutive days fished = possession limit (but they must be cleaned fish ) You cannot have more than 2 days limit of live or unprocessed fish, in your possession, at any time (so clean them daily, or else eat some while camped :D )
Where you stay will depend on what part of the lake you intend to fish .. lots of on water camps, local motels, state park lodging facilities, etc. And they will fill up, so get your lodging choice squared away soon
... luck2ya ... cp
You'll have to be sure and post back and show us all those Louisville slabs you got donchaknow.
Have a great time.

Buchanans resort is a nice place. Right outside Paris, Tn. Clean reasonable rooms. A very nice restaurant and marina.
