    Default Tournament rules?

I've been watching for some time now the growth of Crappie tournaments,
and with some amusement/interest watching how the rules shake out
compared to Bass tourneys - mainly #of rods at a time, troll or no, and
artificial or live bait. I just noticed on another post that some Crappie
pros get out and wade - think that is big no-no in bass circles.
My question, with this is a backdrop, is to some of our Northern members
who are in Walleye country - how do Walleye tourney rules go? Are there
different rules for the RCL compared to smaller events? Just curious,

Maybe I ain't wigglin my worm right here- can anybody tell me whether
or not live bait is allowed in Walleye tourneys? I'm pretty sure trolling is,
and think multiple rods are OK - looking for a little confirmation.
My reason, if all this is legal for 'eyes, is to encourage crappie tournaments
to think outside the bass fishin box... I don't like the idea of crappie
being limited to one rod, or seeing live bait classes pay out less.
I don't use minnows, but can't fathom why you would discriminate
against anyone for using them. Smells like fishin' snobbery to me -
leave that to the trouty fly fishermen - they cover it well enough!

    Default Ok

Well, either nobody is interested or maybe just telling me I'm lazy -
Ok, I did some research myself, and this is what I came up with,
    for what it's worth:

1- Every one I looked at, from bigtime to small, said live bait was fine.
I don't use it often, but sounds fair to me.

2- Pretty unanimous, max of two rods PER FISHERMAN, so a team can
fish 4. I believe I could live with that. Not love, but live with.

3- No mention whatsoever of trolling - only says legal means for the
water, so if you are in a state, lake, where it is legal for recreational
fishing, then have at it - with your 4 rods.

4- Even found a couple that did not count off for dead fish - said something
to the effect of trying in good faith to preserve fish for release -
no stringers or just tossing 'em in a cooler. I particularly like this, as
I know at least down here, you are gonna play heck trying to keep
fish alive in 100 degree weather, pulled up from deep water, in a livewell
all day - no matter how good the aerator.
