    Default Political Compass Test

Here is a interesting site to answer some question and determine were one is on a two dimensional scale. Usually we think of ourselves and others as left or right on a economic scale. The Political Compass Test adds a vertical axis to measures where one fits on the scale between Social Libertarian/Authoritarian.

I knew where I would score on the economic left right horizontral axis but had figured I would score more liberterian than I actually did. The idea of the test is not for obtaining any particular score but to asnwer the questions how one truthfully thinks and to see just where you will graph out on the scale.

I've taken the test on two different days and on 2/4/09 graphed out with Economic Left/Right: 7.00
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.13

and today it was Economic Left/Right: 7.12
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.36

Anyhow I found it interesting and thought some more of us political chattering junkies would find it interesting.

The link for that site is The Political Compass

Enjoy and share how you graph out if you are so inclined.

    I got a 6.75 on Economic Left/Right and a 2.00 on Social Libertarian/Authoritarian.

That means I'm about half way between Margaret Thatcher and Milton Friedman. That's a good place to be!

I couldn't agree more. I admired Margaret Thatcher and and always found Milton Friedman very compelling.
