I like to use bamboo because it last forever underwater and it is the easyest to handle. It is also very forgiving when you snag it when fishing,as you almost always get your hook/jig back. It makes a very compact bundle and will stand up for a year with no additional floatation. I've used oak alot also, but it was cut on the lake shore. It will last for 3-4years and will soak up thousands of hooks and jigs.

Cristmas trees don't last more than a year and are very hard to sink.
    I don't fish because I want to, I fish because I HAVE to !

    Moma tried real hard.

I was at the ramp loading a brushpile on the boat and 2 crappie came walking up the ramp and sat down under the brushpile.
