    Default Painting rod tips??


    I am going to paint some rod tips for fishing at night. What do ya'll reccomend? Thanks.

    Why don't you start with white out? If it doesn't work or you don't like it, you can always scrape it off.

    Try the two part epoxy mix from Janns and add glow in the dark powder to it.

    Who is this Janns you speak of? Thats what I want, I think? because I like orange and the paint I use will not stay on, I have to repeat it every now and then , I want something more permanent! Orange works better for me, day or night.

    dont use white if you are fishing at night. If you are looking at water with a light on or in it, and your rod tip is between you and the water that's lit up, the white almost disspears. If you have light above or behind you, and not directly below the rod tip, white is O.K. I suppose it depends on how you fish and have your lights rigged up.

    The next time you purchase poles, you might want to consider BnM's Richard Williams signature series Crappie Wizzard. The tips come with a charteuse tip. I use them for all of my slip float rigs.

    White spray paint works for me. Just paint about 6-8 inches and you are good to go.
