I recently spoke to Steve the Lake Millwood manager from the Corps Of Engr. and when I explained to him the idea of establishing habitat for crappie using bamboo and cedar trees, plus allowing us to cut some trees that are on the verge of falling into the water on the shoreline. He said we could establish a parntership, what ever that means in the early stages of this discussion. Later I will find out exactly what he means.
He intends to assign a Ranger to the crews and supervise the whole project to include plotting GPS readings. Some more guys have also ask to be included. We will let everyone know more later on.-----Hope fpr luck
The corp does that once a year here on Okatibbee in MS. They gather all the left over Christmas trees, haul them to the lake, furnish the wire and blocks and invite all who will to come help.
