High Rock / Flat Swamp 02-09-09

Launched the Skiff at Flat swamp about 2:00 PM today and decided to longline troll jigs. Had a sucessful trip. Caught 20 0r 30 fish, but only kept 6 that were over 10" or better had a couple at the 1 lb mark. All fish were caught between the Highway #8 bridge and the railroad trestle at the river on my super secret blk/blue w/chart tail WOW grub from Monks Crappie. Best depth was 18 to 23 feet with fished scattered from 8 to 20 feet. Used 1/16th oz heads and trolled at .6 to .9 mph. Water temp was 48 degrees in some places. Coolest water was in Bucks Branch at 46 degrees.
My partner and myself were hungry for fresh Crappie, so all fish were released in Lake Crisco shortly after returning home.
