    Default Yadkin River 02/09/09

Not much to report today other than nobody is working today, their fishing. I caught 17 white perch and 3 crappie. No size any of them. All the fish were caught in a 2 hour span, guess when? Water was dirty and 39*-41* Cast jigs and tightlined minnows.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

We soremouthed all the crappie yesterday. :D We caught 5 or 6 white perch & foul hooked about a 8 inch gizzard shad. There was a lot of what looked like grass stems in the water yesterday, kept getting caught on our lines.
Crappie fishing is my lighthouse of sanity in an insane world,
It keeps me from crashing on the rocky shores of everyday life.

I know....I am thinking about having my friends Hugh Holliman and Stan Bingham...to introduce legislation to change the regulations regarding fishing on High Rock. Restrict the fishing on Mon, Wed, and Fri for retired people (and friends of retired people) only. That'll fix them....
