    Default Question for Tracker owners

I was curious to know if anyone uses some type of ballast on the bow to limit bounce from wind, waves and wakes when spider rigging. I love my boat but the high profile in the front and lack of weight being aluminum, really makes the front bounce. Thought about adding concrete ballast in center locker behind seat. Any thoughts?

    Default Tracker

I have a tracker pro crappie and I do one of these, fish with the wind and not against it... Drag a drift sock or chain...use heavier weights...don't spider rig . hand fish two poles, long line, side pull jigs, pull crankbaits.
The last thing ...get out of the wind. One of these suggestions will help keep you on the water when the lake is rough.

My fat butt is all the ballast I need up front.:D

The boat is going to bounce no matter what. Just ride it out and try to catch fish between the sets of wakes.

I can't get mine to go out with me this time of year. Have used, and still use most of crappiecowboys suggestions. I use a drift sock nearly every time, helps control speed. I try to get out of the wind as much as possible. The other aspect of this is boat control in the wind when trying to vertical jig. I may make up some type of form that will fit my lockers, and see if around 250 lbs will help. Will have to put handles on them so I can remove them easily. Any more suggestions are welcome, thanks guys.
