    Cool Crappie Cajun Candy...

Being from south Louisiana I found a sure fire addition to my jig. I take peeled shrimp and cut them in half or quarters depending on the size. Add a hefty amount of salt and let them drain overnight. The salt draws the moisture out of the shrimp and firms them up. The next day, cut them into nibblet sizes and add alittle more salt and a dash of garlic. Food coloring can be added for color. Put them in a sandwich bag and put them in the freezer. Tip your jig and hang on...I have used this with as much or better results than any nibblet out of the jar. I recently caught a 25 lb blue cat on this rig so anything goes when you use this bait. I plan to put the next batch into some of that Gulp Alive solution and give it a try.
