Greetings from Williamsburg, VA. I lived in Katy for 10 yrs. and fished Conroe
alot. I never fished with Butch but saw him (and Debbie Watson) all the
time at Stow-A-Way. He's gotten a little gray up top since I last saw him,
maybe 8-10 yrs.ago. I tune in to ya alls board and see what's up now and
then. I used to have good luck this time of year (and the dead of winter) on
the 1097 bridge pilings. Fished Lake Paula and Lewis, Caney creeks and
Stubblefield on the spawn and and brushpiles & standing timber most all the
rest of the year. Caught crappie on Lake Somerville and Gibbons Creek Res.
    also.
Here's a pic of 2 spawners I brag on caught the end of March here. Almost
all the local reservoirs are tr. motor only here which sucks in that it takes
time getting anywhere but nice -no jet/water skiing. Take care.

    Rick,

This post is from last year! I came in second and won big fish. The ETCC has one on the 21st of 2006.

The ETCC tournament is being held on Houston County Lake. That is probably far enough away from Sommerville that it wouldn't draw the same crowd anyway.

It's good to have another tournament in this part of the State.

    Good Luck Rick!
