Default New jig head.......I aint sellin notin..

Got my order of the new Big Bite Jig from Grousefly. It is just like the ones I always use except this one has a wider hook gap. The hook is the #1 short shank with 1/4 oz head. This hook is without a collar.

I added a solid body 2 inch peaches and cream curly tail dress to purdy it up. This solid body do slide on the hook. It aint got nowhere to go.

If you wanna get fishes, get some of these. Great for short bites.

I will show you how to rig a minner on this jig one day. I rig it like a walleye jerker rigs a minner on a hook . Been using this for years. My previous jig man passed and I ran out of these jigs last year. A few members here prob seen it already.

You cannot get these at public places.

Is that a Berkley grub? I don't get the the short shank idea though. I would think a longer shank with the wide gap would get short biters better.
Good things come to those who bait.

Grousefly is very good at making custom stuff. I bought 100 jigheads from him last year and they have caught many Crappie. Better quality than I could find locally.

    Default short strikes???

My experience tells me heavy heads and big curly tail are not exactly what you look for in a lure when your getting lots of shot strikes.

I somtimes use something similar, but i use a 5/8 oz. head with #2 sickle hook and a 3 in curly tail. Dont worry about short strikes they usually gobble it down.Want big fish use big baits.

Where you get that big jig head?

You cant find anything like that around here. I haveta order big stuff. You never know what you gonna get 'til it shows up at the door.

    Big jigs big fish.

I can't see well enough to fool with them little ones. One size fits all and catches all.
