    Default 24/36 wiring schematics?

Can anyone tell me or send me a link to how to wire up a 24/36 volt trolling motor? I know how to wire up a 24 and I know how to wire up a 36 but when you have a 24/36 there is an extra wire and I am not sure how to wire it.

    Thanks in advance.

It is a Grady White that goes on a bay boat. I believe Grady White is Minn Kota but I could be wrong about that.

Does your trolling motor have it's own separate 24/36 selector switch.

If so, ours had three wires running to the trolling motor plug.

Think of your batteries as #1,2 & 3.

You said you knew how to wire up 24 volts, so think of them as your #1&2 batteries. Let your neg. thats going to the trolling motor plug be your #1 battery and the pos. coming from your 24v post of your trolling motor plug be your #2 battery. You have your jumper between those two that gives you 24v.

Now you need to run a jumper to your #3 batteries neg. from your pos. on your #2 battery. Now run a hot wire from the pos. of #3 to the 36v post of your trolling motor plug.

Our 24/36v trolling motors are motorguides and they use the selector switch on the motor itself just like all the old 12/24 motors do.

Thanks Big Crappie! I had to draw it out but I think I have it now. I knew it was something easy but couldn't remember how it went.:o

Glad to have and hope that I helped you. I apologize that I didn't make it a little clearer. I only had a couple of minutes to post it before I had to run out the door to my daughter's game.

    Good Luck & Good Fishing!
