Mike - I have fished at night for crappie on Lake Shelbyville many tlimes and have never heard of any regulation against using a light at night. I have used a floating light and a coleman lantern hanging over the side of the boat.
Is it legal in IL to float a light and fish at night? I am from MO and was wanting to head over to an IL lake and float a light and catch some crappie, but a buddy of mine said that he thought that was illegal in IL. Not really sure why it would be, but you guys do have a Senator that compares Gitmo to concentration camps so I thought anything is possible.
Thanks guys!
Mike

Ken
thanks, I am going to have to check this out, I got a response on a different site that it was indeed illegal
I fish at night a lot in Illinois and as far as I know, there is nothing illegal about using floating light.
