Well, as everyone knows, this hasn't been a "normal" year. Started off dry, then rain, rain, rain, then normal for a couple of weeks, then rain , rain, rain. Now we just had two cold fronts come through in the last week and a half. I hate to sound mean, i am kinda glad that others throughout their areas on here are having trouble catching crappie also because of the weather. I thought it was just me. LOL I know last year, once the heat set in, i could get on some slabs, not high numbers, but good ones suspended in open water. This year, i haven't been able to establish a pattern at all. In the last month i have caught them from 2 feet to close to 30.
I have caught them with live bait, jigs, trolling, tightlining, bobbers, casting, etc.
I have rambled enough for now. Report for my area is GOOD LUCK!!!! LOL
Water at 1 foot down is 83 at last check, clarity is good, lots of shad running and i wished i could tell you what is working and what isn't, but this year i am stumped. Like a wise man said, "Thats why its called fishing and not catching".
Take care all. :D
