your hooks and hooks on crank baits wont get tangled up as bad with a rubber net
I am going to purchase one of those Ego fishing nets for crappie fishing. I have a choice between two types. One is the old fashioned mesh types that we all grew up with and the only type I have ever used. The other is a rubber type net. It cost a little more money but my question is, is it worth it? I have never used it. What are the benefits? Help....

The fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad
I purchased the mesh style net when they first came out. It's a great net, however; now that I troll crankbaits I'd much rather have the rubber style.
rubber, i love my mesh one bot hooks get caught in it, i have used the rubber one with richard williams and it is better.
WE NEED MORE COWBELL
Jigboy,
Go with the rubber.Alot better with the hooks.I got one awhile back and really love it.The only down fall I found( not much) is the pole is really cold on your hands in cold weather.Overall a super net!

I like the rubber nets also.
I went with the rubber net. The wife ordered me one today for a Valentines present. I told her that it would be a perfect gift to go with her present from me. A trip to Rough River if the weather warms up on Saturday. I think it is the perfect present. Fishing with me, and I great dinner to go with it, bologna, mayo, and cheese sandwiches followed up with a cold orange crush drink. Is there anything more romantic? Nothing makes a sandwich taste better then a little crappie slime on the fingers. See you guys in divorse court.
