    Default High Rock report 1-30-09

me , c-more and legendkiller went to try tightlining friday before the monster winds got here. it was slow going most of the time. started out in some of our favorite tightlining spots.fish seemed to be scattered. most fish marked were suspended around 10-14 ft. in 18-21 ft. of water. we use our C & S jig and minnow double rig. most were caught on minnows, but a few were on jigs,orange/chart. and brown/yellow worked best. fished from 8 am - around 1:30 ish.caught 32 fish ,kept only 21. fish size range from 10 in. - 12 in. all of the throwbacks were 9-9 1/2 in. fish were very fat and thick. wind was just too strong friday. we'll get'em next time

That's a pretty good catch dispite the weather. Especially since a local guide says that High Rock is dead this time of year.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Yea, I always thought it is funny how guides and "experts" can tell you the exact opposite of what is really going on. I guess that is what is called stalling the competition so they can take clients out and have a better chance on getting in a "Honey (money) Hole". :D
    Tight lines to everyone

Nice catch. Y'all always seem to be able to find them, and get them to bite.
