Default Screen Shot Help Please? HB 1197

I took these shots today just trying to see what I can learn from this HB. Are these crappie/fish or just bait fish or both?

    Any help appreciated,

Now I know this is a brush pile on the left, but will they always look this thin or weak?

Tough to tell being you are directly over them. Any snapshots with them off to the side? If this lake has shad I would guess large shad.

Here's one of my favorite snapshots with my 997 that shows a school of fish under a school of minnows.

Baitfish tend to look ghost like where as fish are more solid white.

It's also interesting that you are set at 75' left and right which seems to be very common. I for some reason really like setting it at 125'.

75 was what I was told, but I will give your 125 a try.

The fish on that pic of mine are in a spot that crappie are there almost all the time. I didn't think bait fish since you can see individual fish.

The last pic is really just a brush pile that last year stopped paying off, but at least I know it is there so I can see what it looks like. It is on the left side and I was wondering if they are always that thin looking?

    Thanks,

I have a 797 and by my thought I believe it is both. seems to large to be just crappie. But there efinately fish of some kind under the schools. Like you said you can see individual fish. The last snapshot, is that an old fenceline?

I am not totally sure and think probably not because it is right on the edge of the creek. However this area has lots of fences.

In the first post the sensitvity is up too high to get a good pic. The second post of the 997, the pic is just right and you can see much better. It is almost imposssible to tell what kind of fish they are.

I know I should be saying crappie as there is no way to tell like this and should say fish or bait fish.

Sorry I just know what people catch at that spot all year long.

If you run back over the same spot with the TM you will get more definition. 4MPH too fast.
