    Default What kind of knots for KY Rig


    What type of knots do ya'll tie for hooks on KY type rigs?

    I have used a loop knot for the hooks but was wondering if a palmar knot would make the hooks more perpendicular to the line and give the minnow a more natural presentation? Similar to a drop shot type of rig.

    hey lungbuster,

    My personal favorite knot for tying a jig to a line is a loop knot because it gives the jig more action and the jig always hangs level. Here are some different Kentucky Rig drawings.
