    Default Crappie Fishing in Arkansas

The bite has been a bit slow this week but we're catching some nice crappie including this 16-inch/2-pound Black from Lake Hamilton this morning.

My client came a long ways hoping to catch a 16-inch crappie and it was the first one we caught this morning. He's going to have it mounted.

We're going to Greeson tomorrow to see if we can get him a 16-inch White to go with it - I think that would make a nice mount - a Black and a White together!

Well, we didn't get a 16-inch white to go with that one but we got one that was 15.5-inches and two more that were over 14.5-inches.

    Maybe next time.

The bite was much better on Greeson today than it has been on Hamilton all week.

Jerry, they ever get all that work done at Kirby Landing? Just curious.

    Hey Big J:

Good to hear from you today and Great Fish! Especially since you caught it by accident!

They are still working on Kirby Landing but it’s all open. Today they were unloading some buildings (toilets I think) up by the Off Road Vehicle loading/unloading area and had the road blocked so we had to go around by the amphitheater. They’re really fixing the place up nice – built wood steps down to the lake from some of the campsites that they raised up to the level of the road. Ranger said they are going to put water to the sites in the west campground too and add some more campsites.

Y'all need to come camping next spring.
