Got a report that white bass have been breaking early on Lake Greeson so a friend and I went this morning to check it out. We caught a walleye and over 30 white bass in about an hour and then went looking for crappie.
The crappie are still pretty deep and scattered but we caught several from about 12 to 18-feet deep. Good news is they knocked the hooey out of a jig so maybe they are going to start cooperating a bit better than they have been. The biggest was 16-inches and weighed 1-pound 9-ounces.

I ate my first white bass a few weeks ago. Outstanding! I just wish I didn't have to go so far to catch them.
