I understand your thought Cane Pole, I have a conscience and could not represent someone I felt was undesirable either, but the lawyer's place in the system is to give their client the absolute best defense they can. The judge and jury take care of the rest of the process.

They do it to get PAID, usually by the state or fed (you and me). And the longer they can drag it out the more they get paid and the farther over the barrel us taxpayers get bent.

Lawyers represent scum bags from every walk of life every day. They represent murderers, dead beat dads, baby rapers etc etc on a regular basis. It shocks me to see it shocks you guys. These are folks who have made a decision to make their living off of other people's misery and heart ache and theres not much a lawyer could do to suprise me. I think the scum bag who defended the Oklahoma city bomber is a bigger a$$hole than these guys personally because of the day care center that was blown into smithereens. Lawyers are evil incarnate.
