    Default GPS Help?


    What hand held Gps would you guys suggest for a beginner? I would like to use it hunting and fishing. Need one I can get lake maps on and wont break the bank. Thx!!

    Go to Lowrance web and download the H20 gps emulator and play with it.

    They all work bout the same. Personally, I use Garmin stuff. GPS map76 is a good unit. If you gonna be in heavy cover, this Garmin (map 76) is not for you.

    I don't go in heavy cover anymore since I started carrying buckets on the boat.

    I got the Lowrance H20 and I really like it.Mine is the color screen.I studied hard and that is the one I got and I aint been dissatisfied with it.

    I agree with Cane Pole, the Garmin 76 is great for the type crappie fishin I do. and it floats!

    I have a garmin e-trex it works great but make sure what ever you get the compass will work while you are sitting still. I have to be move for my compass to read and I don't like that!
