WTG MIke, it sure pays off to have those brush piles for your need to go get the itch taken care of.:D Keep after them. See ya when the big freeze is over.:D
Got on the water and started fishing about 2:00. Had a limit by 3:10. Quit at 3:30. Culled 3 keepers and had 5 shorts. They were deep. 16 to 30 ft. Only fished one spot, a brush pile I put on a bluff this past summer. The brush is in about 16 ft. of water and most of the fish seemed to be on the ledge below it. Electric chicken slab buster on a chartreuse 1/16th oz. head. They weren't real big. Most between 9 and 10 inches. About a half dozen in the 10.5" range. Did catch a bonus fish-- a 17" walleye. Only the second keeper walleye I have ever caught on LOZ. Fun time.

Good job, is there really a bunch of ice in the shallow protected waters??
I put in at PB2 and went to my condo near the 14 mm. Didn't go into any long coves. Didn't see any ice where I was. No ice in PB2 cove or the pocket where my condo is located. Water temp on main lake is 38 degrees.

Sounds like a good day.
Good job Mr. Baker, that is the best LOZ report I've heard in a while.
I went out yesterday over here in the shallows and couldn't get to where I wanted to go for the ice. Hope that wind yesterday PM busted it up some.
