I am going to Hardy Lake end of March early April for a weekend, but have never been there. I'm not looking for anyones hot spots, but just any information about the lake would be appriciated (where to launch, depths, baits). Any posts or PM's would be great. Thanks!
Main gate is off of highway 256 in Austin. Hardy lake Road. 3 trailer ramp. You can also put in at the primitive campsite, Wooster ramp. This will put you close to where the fish are. Hardy is not that big, about 740 acres. Probably over half is idle zone. Just find the stumps and you should do good. I use crappie sliders rigged weedless but live minnows seem to work the best.
