If you only catch one thats the fish you want it to be.......real nice fish lon i'd be sick if'n i would of lost that ones twin, post some pics of the eyes i at least like lookin at those toothy critters.
Bull Shoals is finally starting to give up some fish. You have to be on or near the bottom and very near to brush or rock piles that are in the drop off. I caught one and lost its twin today. 15 1/2 inches, 2.6 lbs. Some walleye and white bass are showing up too. This is going to be a banner year thanks to the flood last year.

Good looking fish. I'd have expected it to be a little longer at that weight. Does that lake produce cookie cutter fish like LOZ?

Exactly what is a cookie cutter fish?

All pretty much the same length, but not the same weight. Last time I was there, every black crappie we caught looked to be the same length, some were well under a pound, and many over.
Nice one lonkm, Thanks for the pic. 15 1/2 and 2.6 ibs thats one healthy fish. Sounds like that high water helped the shad also.
Thanks for the clarification but i'd think that would be the case for any lake depending on time of year, white vs black crappie, amount of bait fish in different areas, water clarity etc for example i caught a 16 1/4" fish at toronto that weighed 2.4 and another one the exact same size that weighed 1.13......a lot of variables on all lakes.
