Wondering what some of the the best all welded jons are now?
Looking for a semi flat in the 1650 range maybe a tad bigger.

I know there are others, but - couldn't go wrong with a SeaArk
Ran a 1852AW for years, tried to beat it to death but never did.

    Default Jon Boats

My fishing boat is a 16 ft. Crestliner-semi V-100 gauge alumuim--bottom is 48 inches and the top from rail to rail about 60 inches. Double walls, floor and bench seat packed with floatation material. I been in some very rough water 3-4 waves in the lake and it takes the rough water, plus it is heavy, about 600 lbs, plus the one thing I love about it---rides high out of the water about 18-20 inches to include the transom. I fish the creeks and backwaters a lot--a bigger boat would be a problem. It is a 3-4 passenger boat with a 40 hp Johnson all I need.

I have an Alweld that I'm real happy with. Quality construction, and they'll pretty well build you what you want.

I think Alweld rules the shallow rivers where we live. I think they might be a little heavier guage. I have a Landau that has been a good boat, somewhat lighter..Oh, the Landau is a 1650.

I have a Lowe Roughneck 1652 and love it. It rides well in rough water and there is no flex in the hull. Lowe builds a fine boat.
To make life enjoyable, you must have crappie days.
