How about us old coots. How about over 64
READ BELOW this is not correct!!! read post by Jackpot.
Read a article in Missouri Game & Fish that says all our hunting & fishing fees are increasing in 09. Resident fishing from $12 to $14.
If you are between 60 and 64 years old read on!!!!
I also read the portion about the Federal Funding individual states recieve. Each states allocation depends partly on how many paid license holders it has. By not selling permits to seniors it is cutting into our federal funding and they have a new program to help seniors count toward the number of paid license holders. If you are between 60 and 64 please consider buying the Senior fish forever Permit The permit will cost you $24 if 60-63 and $12 if 64. This will be significant for the MDC and all of us by allowing your permit to be included for 12 years toward federal funds. I see this as a win for you at cheaper costs and a win for MO with additional federal funds.

I may be going crazy but didn't they rescind that increase? I thought I read that in one of the emails that they send out. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

OK, I thought I saw something:
But they are increasing the non-resident fees. The Conservation Commission Ends Advancement of Several Recommendations
The Conservation Commission at its December 19, 2008, meeting voted to stop advancement of the following changes to permit requirements and resident price increases:
* Proposal to change landowner and lessee requirements for "No-Cost" deer and turkey permits
* Proposal to increase resident permit fees
* Proposal to implement senior "Forever" permits.

Scott, too bad Illinois and Missouri don't reciprocate. As much time as I am over there, I wouldn't mind fishing a bit more. And I'm sure you feel the same.
In any event, here is the link. The way I read it non-resident permits increase by $2. But it is a little confusing.

LOZ come hunt with me. we just heard a shot below the house at 8 this evening. maby we can shoot the shooters, jerks plenty of deer they dont need to be shoothin at night. maby the county cops can catch up with them. I rated them out. jerks. hell I'm crippled and I dont cheat. jerks.
Yeah, poaching stinks, Beagle -- it really flies in the face of being a true sportsman.
Regarding the license fees, a $2 upgrade to continue fishing LOZ is worth it. Happy to to contribute to the cause. Reciprocal rights would be great but I'll pay what I have to. I'm currently carrying fishing licenses in Ill., Mo., and Tenn. It does get pricey.
