Good video, thanks for posting it. I think most fishermen have their fish ID on. You get so much more information with it off.
I found this on another website and watched it. I learned something. I still use the fish ID on my 787 and 777, think maybe I should shut it off?

On Lowrance units (at least the ones I've used) you'll definitely see a lot more detail with Fish ID off because when it's on it filters out most of the actual sonar returns of fish.
Jerry is right. But, I turn the fish ID on and set screen 2x and automatic (Lowrance). I pay attention the A window. That's all.
Sonar bout like that side scan. You can spend a day turning knobs.
Learning/knowing the fish habits is what finds the fish.
Besides, as long as Honey sees the fishes on the screen occasionally, I don't haveta go in.
